When Stern asked about Apple's lawsuit against OpenAI and whether it could affect devices the company is building with former Apple designer Jony Ive, Brockman said OpenAI is focused on building great products. That's a non-answer, but the Ive collaboration itself is the detail worth paying attention to. This is a consumer hardware play with serious design intent behind it, built for real users, not developers.

For CX teams, the implication is straightforward: the companies building the AI your customers use every day are now also building the physical objects those customers hold, wear, and talk to.

None of this means you need to tear up your current strategy. But it does mean pressure-testing one assumption: that AI interaction will always look like a chat window on a screen. That assumption has an expiration date, and Brockman just moved it closer.
